Mo’Services let you access your favorite internet sites as easily as calling or txting your friends. Search the internet, check the latest news and buy ringtones just by sending a Mo’Txt.
Core Services
These services are always available as soon as you install Mo’Txt. Upon installation of the handset agent, contact items corresponding to the basic Mo’Services will be created on your handset. To access the services, you simply send a Mo’Txt to the corresponding contact item with your request:
- Mo’My: A service that lets you set up your contact details on the Mo’Txt backend. These details will be retrieved by a handset agent when you text a Mo’Txt user. If they don’t already have your contact details, the agent on their phone will inject a new contact item with your details in. To set your contact details to Mo’My, just text your vCard to the corresponding Mo’My contact item. To see your current contact details, send a blank text to Mo’My.
- Mo’Services: This service lets you search for other third party Mo’Txt services. You can text Mo’Services with a keyword to check for availability of services which match on those keywords. For example, texting ‘maps’ will return Mo’Maps. Texting ‘translation’ or ‘french’ will return Mo’French. The handset agent automatically creates new contact items for the returned services in a Mo’Services contacts group if they don’t already exist on the handset.
- Mo’Cred: A service that lets you check how many user credits you currently have, and buy extra credits. Send a blank text to this contact item and it you will receive a message informing you how many credits you currently have. Send your evoucher codes to Mo’Cred to have the balance credited to your account.
- Mo’Invite: A service that lets you invite your friends and colleagues to join Mo’Txt. You can either send Mo’Invite the phone number of the person you wish to invite, or you can “Send As” their vCard to this service.
- Mo’Web: Search the web easily from your mobile phone*. Just text your query to Mo’Web and the search results will be loaded into the web browser on your phone - there’s no need to open the browser or fiddle around with bookmarks.
Third Party Services
Third party services* are contributed by our partners and users, and aren’t available by default when you first install Mo’Txt. To add these services, simply send keywords describing the service you are looking for to the Mo’Services contact.
Here are some examples of currently available third party services:
- Mo’Maps: A service that lets you see the results of a map query in a browser window simply by sending a text message. Text a postcode or address to Mo’Maps and get a map right in your browser window.
- Mo’News: A service that gives you the latest up to date news headlines. Send a blank text to Mo’News to see the latest headlines. These will be sent back to your phone as a list in a response text. To get more information on a particular news item, text the corresponding headline number back to Mo’News. You will receive a summary and a link to the full story which you can then open in your web browser if you prefer.
- Mo’Tube: A service that gives you up to the minute information regarding London Tube lines. Text the name of the Tube line you are interested in to Mo’Tube and receive realtime information about the service status on that line.
